Current Actions!!

  • Call the Senate Rules Committee and tell them that any election reform legislation must include Voter Verifiable Paper Ballots and Automatic Audits. Click here.
  • Stephen Fettig recommends calling Speaker of the House Ben Lujan to express your opinions. Click here for more information.

Visit the Roundhouse

If you have the time and the inclination, your legislators want to hear from. Check here to find out what's coming up soon that you can attend and express your opinion on.

You can also visit your legislators and tell them what you think. Find them here.

Other Activities

There are a number of groups working on this issue on both a local and a national level. Follow these links to see what they are doing:

Write Letters

You don't have to go down to the Roundhouse to make a BIG difference in election reform. Especially in New Mexico, every call to an official is very important, and COULD be the deciding factor in whether or not a bill gets passed.

Sharing your views is a simple, and very important, way to affect how your government runs. Check out the Current section to see what other people are doing to help this effort. Your voice in chorus with others is even MORE powerful.

What do I talk about?

If it's your first time contacting your elected representatives or writing a letter to the editor, it can be difficult to put those thoughts into easy-to-understand ideas.

Who do I contact?

If you don't even know who your county clerk or legislators are, you're not alone. Use the following resources to locate the people that will listen most closely to what YOU have to say:

  • Find the contact information for our State Executives here. This includes the Governor, Secretary of State, and State Director of Elections.
  • Find the contact information for the State Legislators from your district here.
  • Find out who your County Clerk is and how to get ahold of them.
  • Time to write a letter to the editor of your local paper? Find everything you need to know here.

Are you already doing something?

If you're already involved and it's mentioned here, please email us and tell us what you're doing so we can include it on the site. Don't forget to include your name and the organization your working with, if appropriate.
